I have some BIG news!! ✨ I am SO excited to offic I have some BIG news!! ✨

I am SO excited to officially welcome the incredible Salila Sukumaran as one of The Shakti School’s newest teachers! ❤️

I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Salila on my Spirit Sessions podcast for a beautiful, juicy conversation about feminine embodiment, the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and what it really means to come home to our bodies.

We dove into the power of Shakti, ancestral wisdom, feminine sovereignty and the importance of reconnecting with the deep intelligence and wisdom that lives within us as women.

One of my greatest passions has always been bringing the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda into the lives of modern women in a way that feels accessible, nourishing and deeply empowering.

And this is why I’m SO thrilled to have Salila joining us at The Shakti School! She brings such a beautiful depth of knowledge, a rich Ayurvedic lineage, and a unique perspective on what it means to truly EMBODY this wisdom.

There is something so powerful about women coming together to share, teach and keep these ancient traditions alive. And I couldn’t be more excited for our students to learn from her!

It was the end of our Level 2 last year, a class w It was the end of our Level 2 last year, a class where we give women time and space to really share what the two years of Shakti Ayurveda School have meant for them (yes, this can be a one or two year adventure). And a woman said something I will never forget - “I’m becoming the woman of my dreams.”

It hit me in all the right places and even made me self reflect.

Am I the woman of my dreams? And if I had a dream woman, what would she be like?

She would be kind, hold dignity, love her body and try to keep it safe and healthy and warm. She would give herself grace when she failed or tripped up in life. She would smile lovingly at herself when she said the wrong thing at a party or a date or a conference. She would eat good nourishing food and be OK with the fact that she didn’t look like the women in a magazine.

But mostly, she would use this one and sacred life to learn the lessons of her soul, and feel alive in her mission to help others do the same.

We are genuinely here to support you in becoming THAT woman. Or even better said, in dusting off all the veils that block you from seeing that You Are Her Now. We truly find that the LIVE Ayurveda experience offers a magic that you will see in our classroom. And that magic translates to anyone doing the course at their leisure the rest of the month.

True. Ayurveda. Magic.

Ladies! Only a couple more weeks to get $500+ off this women-our-your-dreams year with our current early bird pricing. I will be there. And so will so many other dream seekers. Will you?

The theme of fall according to feminine-form Ayurv The theme of fall according to feminine-form Ayurveda? ➡️ Major permission to start slowing down, warming up and amping up your inner mystic's rituals. Send this to a friend you wanna’ plan a fall Ayurveda self-care day with. 🕯️

🍁 Here’s your inspo:

• Get cozy with herbal teas (and stoke your digestive fire). Make a big pot of ginger tea & sip throughout the day.
• Give yourself an oil massage with warm sesame oil. Sesame is nourishing, warming & perfect for Fall.
• Soak Fall-goddess style. Add 1/4 cup ginger powder & epsom salts to your bath.
• Grab some warming essential oils like geranium, mahanarayan and vetiver (you can add those to the bath, too!)
• Have a cozy night in. Fall is when we naturally start turning inwards—permission to stay in & get some extra sleep!
• Get in the kitchen! Whip up a vata-reducing churna (spice blend) to sprinkle on your meals.
• Become BFF’s with your crock pot. Bone broth, spiced stews and soups are balancing for Fall.
• Light a fire. Fall is a time for dying off and letting go. Get quiet, journal and burn what you’re ready to let go of.
• Unplug before sunset. Give your eyes and nervous system a break from screens and let candlelight guide your evenings.

OMG y'all! Katie here. Ok, so apparently the 90s a OMG y'all! Katie here. Ok, so apparently the 90s are now VINTAGE. 😂📺 And this hilarious meme got me thinking about one of the deepest principles of Ayurveda…

MAMA MEDICINE. ❤️

You see, one of the first principles of Ayurveda is to remind someone who is sick that they are going to be WELL.

Fill them with love. Nourishing foods. Comforting words. Hugs. Remedies. And that beautiful feeling that someone is taking care of you.

Because sometimes the most powerful medicine isn't an herb or a supplement.

It's the feeling of being LOVED.

When I was a little girl, my mom's sick-day prescription was ginger ale (we NEVER got soda unless we were sick!), saltines, Campbell's chicken noodle soup with those slimy noodles and suspiciously soft orange carrots…And UNLIMITED TV. 😂

Little did she know I was downstairs watching JERRY SPRINGER and frying my developing brain on the absolute worst of 1990s American culture. 🍳📺🤣

But to this day, those memories make me feel so warm and loved. Because it was never really about the chicken soup. It was about being taken care of. And THAT is powerful medicine.

So I wanna know…

👇 WHAT WAS YOUR MAMA'S SICK-DAY STACK?

Was it ginger ale? Vicks VapoRub? Chicken soup? The Price Is Right? Some bizarre family remedy that probably should have been illegal? 😂 Please tell me, I gotta know!

COMMENT BELOW and tell me what your mama (or whoever raised you!) gave you when you were sick.

💕 And TAG YOUR MOM, SISTER, OR BESTIE who remembers this era of questionable remedies and unconditional love.

Because sometimes the best medicine is simply knowing somebody loves you.

That's MAMA MEDICINE. ❤️🍜
