This training is at the heart of everything Shaktirasa. Connect to one of Tantra's core methods of awakening: Bhakti (love and devotion towards the sacredness of life itself). For centuries, mystics, poets, shamans, and yogis have been mapping the way, offering the love-technology that reveals our truest nature, our most radiant, shining self.

This training will focus on both a historical and practical approach to working with love as an enlightenment methodology. We will deeply study the key mystical teachings from several traditions, and focus on five time-tested methods for awakening love in the body. If the likes Christ, Mary Magdalene, Hafiz, Rumi and Saint Teresa of Avila ring your bell, this training is for you.

Join us in Shakti School's hometown, Charlottesville, Virginia, for three days of live training and two days of lecture and class via live teleconference to open, cement and integrate these teachings.

This module consist of 5 training days:

  • June 27: Full day (about 6 hours) live-stream online teleconference
  • July 10-12: Live training in Charlottesville, Virginia (Now available via live-stream too!)
  • July 18: Full day of Integration live-stream online teleconference

Shakti School headquarters is conveniently located in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia with opportunities to experience the best of Virginia's foodie town! There are affordable AirBnB and hotel options within walking distance of the school and a local airport (CHO). We are a block from Halo Salt Spa for massages and salt meditation caves/sauna, and close to hiking and nature walks: Rivanna River, Observatory Hill and Monticello Trails. Prior to the training you will receive a Welcome Packet with more details on logistics and support from our staff.

Terms and Conditions

Cancellations made more than 90 days from the start date of the event are subject to a $50 processing fee. Cancellations made 89-61 days from the start date of the training will receive a refund of payment, minus the non-refundable deposit that is 20% of total tuition. There are no refunds for cancellations within 60 days of the training. Payments cannot be used towards another training.

We can understand Ayurveda as this beautiful art and philosophy that has been held for humanity for thousands of years. It’s really a study of nature - the way the seasons move, the way the body responds, the way you are uniquely made.

And maybe most importantly, it’s about understanding how you are different. Because in this wide, wide world of nature, everything is unique. Nature created delicate orchids and big, beautiful, chunky bullfrogs. Both are perfect. But each is totally different. 🐸🌷

Ayurveda says we’re all made up of these elemental patterns, and it divides us into mind-body types called doshas, which means “that which is waiting to go out of balance.” 

We were each both with our dosha or “type”—in other words, it’s not going to change.

Kapha is earth and water. When we feel into Kapha, we feel its heaviness, coolness and steadiness. Kapha is the mud, the structure, the part of you that builds and stays. It’s the bricks, the mortar, the thing that makes life feel safe and held.

People with more Kapha tend to be strong, grounded and resilient. Kaphas hold more substance - more muscle, more softness and more presence. And emotionally, there’s that beautiful watery quality of love, attachment, bonding and deep feeling. 🌊

They gather, they hold, and they stay.

Kapha’s ability to feel deeply, to trust their inner sense, to stay connected to what’s true… that’s their medicine.

We’re moving deeper and deeper into spring’s awakening… which means things can feel a little muddy, a little swollen, and then suddenly hot. So, Ayurveda says: lean into the bitter, pungent and astringent tastes right now.⁠

These tastes help dry and lighten Kapha while gently clearing heat from the blood. This supports us through things like inflammation, skin flare-ups, sore throats and that early spring “heat” in the system.⁠
