One of the biggest things that can hold us back fr One of the biggest things that can hold us back from becoming who we are meant to be and serving in a meaningful way is this: the false idea that we need to be perfectly healed in order to show up as a force for good for others. Pardon my French - but this is total B.S. The best doctors in my life have struggled with mental health issues and gut imbalances. The best healers in my life came from broken homes. The best teachers in my life went through AA and OA and Codependency Anonymous. The best couples counselors suffered through gut-wrenching divorces. And guess what? Your girl here, Katie Silcox, is still learning how to really love and really heal. Don’t hold back on serving others as you wait for some false idealistic perfectionism. Perfect isn’t a thing. That’s the magic of Ayurveda the feminine-form way. We don’t wait on perfection for enlightenment. We live it one messy, sacred step at a time. I created The Shakti School because I needed a space where women could come to the table as they are. I created our school because what I really craved (and what I think we all really crave) was connection. Guidance. Structure. A map back home to the body and soul. Here we don’t offer you gurus or strict rules. We offer you a place to remember your true self. So no, you don’t have to be perfect. But you do have to be willing. Willing to show up for yourself. Willing to believe that your story, your body and your healing IS medicine for our broken world. 🩷 We start January 2027. Join us while the tuition investment is at it's LOWEST. Prices go up soon! ✨ Comment AYURVEDASCHOOL to learn more!
Our struggles and heartbreaks are part of the beau Our struggles and heartbreaks are part of the beautification of our soul. Yes - let me say that again: Our symptoms, our heartbreaks and especially the moments when we feel like we are falling apart, are actually part of the great beautification project of our soul. Those moments of WTF?! OUCH! and “I can’t take this anymore” are not signs that you’re broken. They are the juiciest fodder for your spiritual fire. And let’s be real. Some seasons of our life suck. We should never seek out pain or glorify it. If you are in a toxic relationship, a draining job, or a social situation that crushes your spirit you should get out, get help and choose yourself. But here’s the thing… some of the most profound spiritual awakenings in my own life have been born out of rejection, illness and utter heartbreak. I’ve been rejected by men I loved. By publishers and agents. By friends, students and random mean-girl trolls on the Internet I’ve never even met. Even after four years and four editors, my book still has typos - and I’ve decided I want to keep them. Because they remind me: perfection isn’t the point. That is the price of living from your heart. That’s the toll tax on REALNESS. And the deeper truth is this: The Divine is always using these messy moments to shape us, to burn away what isn’t true, to carve us closer to who we really are. That’s what we’re about here in Ayurveda School. ✨ No rules. Just you. The rejected you. The real you. The loveable you. When you step into this training, you’re not just learning Ayurveda - you’re learning to alchemize every part of your life (even the hardest parts) into soul-gold. Enrollment for our January class is open now. Earlybird tuition ends in three days and the price goes up $500. Your heartbreak, your health struggle, your rejection story—they’re not proof that you’re failing. They’re proof that you’re alive, awake and ready to grow. Ayurveda School will give you the tools, the wisdom and the soul-sisters to turn those struggles into your sacred medicine. I can’t wait to see you inside. 🌹Comment AYURVEDASCHOOL for more information on joining us in 2027.
Ok, so I finally have a kitchen again and it's lif Ok, so I finally have a kitchen again and it's life changing. I am all up in here Grandma-maxxing so hard this fall season. (Vata, we got this!) Here is an actual photo of my home-made bath bombs, natural soaps and a very serious Bernedoodle. Grandma-maxxing is what the Zoomers call a rebellion against the insanity of modern life. It's the radical, old-fashioned art of slowing down and remembering that we are HUMAN BEINGS, not productivity machines! It's making things with our hands, tending to our gardens, baking bread, stirring pots, sewing, knitting and finding sweet pleasure in the most ordinary things. It's choosing the wisdom of our grandmothers over the endless scroll of the algorithm. It's remembering that women have gathered around kitchens, shared recipes, told stories, teased each other, made medicine and generally created beauty for THOUSANDS of years. And guess what? Our nervous systems LOVE this stuff. Grandma-maxxing is about reclaiming the lost arts of being a woman, living seasonally, making things slowly and remembering that sometimes the most revolutionary thing we can do is put down our phones and bake a bomb-ass pie. Read through these and see which ones LIGHT up your body. Trust that that’s the one for you: Making homemade soap, knitting a cozy sweater, baking sourdough bread, growing medicinal herbs, making homemade jam, sewing or embroidering, arranging fresh flowers, making herbal teas, canning summer vegetables, creating homemade candles, crocheting blankets, writing handwritten letters, making bone broth, tending a vegetable garden, pressing flowers in old books, making homemade body oils and salves, baking pies from scratch, birdwatching in the backyard, learning to quilt and gathering with girlfriends to make things, sip tea, laugh and tell stories. These are the kind of kitchen magic projects we will coach you into this year in Level one. Wanna get in on Ayurvedic Grandmamaxxing? Comment AYURVEDASCHOOL! Early bird tuition ends 10/31! Also! I did a whole podcast on Grandmamaxxing + STUDIES on what it does for your brain and soul. 💜Comment “259” and I’ll send you the pod link!

I’m just gonna’ come out and say it: The Shakti Sc I’m just gonna’ come out and say it: The Shakti School isn’t your average Ayurveda program. We don’t memorize all the Sanskrit rules perfectly while ignoring the fact that most of us are starting from a place of being addicted to iced coffee and Instagram. Why? Because the actual Sanskrit verses tell us to MEET OURSELVES (and others) WHERE WE ARE! We’re the world’s most soulful Ayurveda School because we bring this ancient wisdom into the messy, gorgeous, modern reality of your life. And we try to do it with heart and humor (while deeply honoring the world’s wisdom traditions). 🌹 Don’t wait. Enroll in 2027 Ayurveda School now before tuition goes up $500. Our students can attest—the investment you make will multiply and return to you tenfold. Register for our 2027 class now at the link in bio or comment AYURVEDASCHOOL below.
